Foundation for Co-Existence (FCE)

The Foundation for Co-Existence (FCE) is a non-profit organization based in Sri Lanka working to promote co-existence through human security. The Foundation aims to advance the peaceful transformation of the country through the medium of human security. By targeting social attitudes and institutions, FCE strives to create a culture of peace in a society that has continuously seen violence used to resolve conflicts. SAHAJEEVANA CENTRE
SAHAJEEVANA CENTRE

This is a project that is initiated to transform the global society into agents of peace through individuals. It will comprise an Interactive Learning Centre for Peace Education and Conflict Resolution and a Peace Museum. The Sahajeevana Centre will document the history of ethnic violence in Sri Lanka and the root causes to this vicious cycle of conflict in print and audio-visual formats. It will also provide the learners with all the necessary multimedia resources for peace education. The ultimate goal of this project is bring about an attitudinal change among people for an enlightened individual transformation through a learning experience. Visit : www.sahajeevana.org

TWO LANGUAGES
 TWO LANGUAGES www.twolanguages.org is a unique initiative of the Foundation for Coexistence Language Policy program that aims to provide up to date research and data on language rights in Sri Lanka. As well as containing information about the history of the language issue, articles and policy recommendations, it is an interactive forum on language and a database of language rights violations. It is also a language learning website.

Prayathna, the People’s Movement is a campaign inaugurated on November 10th 2007 to transform Sri Lanka into a just, peaceful and prosperous country which respects diversity and guarantees the well being of all. Its mission is to provide leadership to build a challenging people’s movement that is capable of spiritual, cultural, social and structural transformation. NATIONAL ANTI-WAR FRONT

The National Anti-War Front is a non-profit broad coalition of numerous different organizations and types of organizations that opposes the continuation of war and strives to solve the ethnic problem through the negotiations that lead to a political solution. The NAWF actively involves in organizing many anti-war campaigns to promote peace among the general public of the country. All the partners of NAWF share a common theme: “Peace is your Right. Sri Lankans for Peace is a unique peace campaign launched by the National Anti-War Front to highlight the meaningless destruction of war on the entire society. The whole purpose of this effort is to unite all Sri Lankans for Peace at a crucial moment of our dear motherland. Through this campaign the NAWF aims to the reach the fours corners of Sri Lanka and the cyberspace with powerful visual descriptions of the futility of war in order to highlight the value of ‘One Nation. NO TO VIOLENCE
 SRI LANKANS FOR PEACE

No to Violence is a timely  peace campaign launched by the civil society organizations in Sri Lanka to promote the principles of non-violence in the society. It does not seek to oppress or humiliate the oponent instead it advocates friendship and understanding of the other. This campaign expresses the willingness to accept suffering without retaliation and to follow the nonviolent path. Its aim is to build a society that adheres to the values of non-violence and celebrates the diversity of its people.
